This oil is organically grown and therefore no fertilizers and chemicals are used during cultivation and during the processing process after harvesting. The tree comes from the Atlas Mountains. The tree remains green all year round and has traditionally been referred to as a Royal tree. The botanical name is Cedrus Atlantica. The oil is extracted by steam distillation from the wood, stumps and sawdust. The oil has a yellow, orange or deep amber color. The scent is pleasant, warm, woody and somewhat camphor-like with a hint of turpentine.

Contraindications & other details:
Up to 8% no sensitization or skin irritation was seen in humans (Opdyke 1976).
Very high doses can cause skin irritation.
